British actress of Indian-originArchie Panjabi has been signed up for a major disaster moviein Hollywood.
Panjabi, who is a familiar face of US television with thehit show The Good Wife, will be playing a reporter in thefilm titled San Andreas.
The action thriller is being directed by Brad Peyton andstars Dwayne Johnson as a rescue worker trying to save hisformer wife and daughter during the largest earthquake inCalifornian history. It is scheduled for release in June 2015.
Panjabi, who is known in the UK for her role as PinkyBhamra in Gurinder Chadha's Bend It Like Beckham, won anEmmy Award for her role as Kalinda Sharma in The Good Wife.
Her other credits include The Widower and The Falland she next appears in Fox Searchlight's I Origins.Panjabi was born in north London in 1972 and got herbreak playing Meenah Khan in 1999's East Is East.
