Britney Spears called off her engagement to Jason Trawick in January this year.
London:
Britney Spears has introduced her new boyfriend to her sons.
The 31-year-old singer started dating David Lucado not long after calling off her engagement to Jason Trawick in January but is already so serious about him she wants him to get to know her kids Preston, seven and Jayden six.
A source told People magazine: "Her family first made sure that David was a good influence before they let Britney get closer to him.
"The boys think of David as a fun play pal. It was a big step, she's very excited."
Following her split from Jason, the Scream & Shout hitmaker was said to be focusing on her boys - who are from her previous marriage to Kevin Federline - to take her mind off the break up.
Britney took to the recording studio to create new songs inspired by Preston and Jayden, and hinted she will be releasing new music in the future.
She posted on Facebook: "I'm at the studio recording a new song for my boys. They are going to freak out when they hear it. So excited!
"It's a surprise so keep it shhhhh and don't be grouchy. I'll fill you all in soon ;) (sic)"
