Los Angeles:
Pop star Britney Spears is slowly taking back control of her personal and professional life from her father.
After her 2008 breakdown, the Toxic hitmaker's father Jamie was given control of her career and finances when a judge awarded him conservatorship.
But the 28-year-old singer has been doing so well in the last year, she could have control of her finances by the end of this year, reported E! online. "Everyone involved believes she has the necessary proof that she is competent to be in charge of her affairs. She is more than ready," said an insider.
Spears' chances of regaining control might be damaged by former bodyguard Fernando Flores, who is suing her for sexual harassment. Another conservatorship hearing for Spears is set to take place on September 30th.
