London: Singing stars Cher and Christina Aguilera bonded over the heartbreak both of them have experienced in love and the personal woes gave them a "connect".
Cher, the 64-year-old 'Goddess of Pop' says she "understands" Aguilera, who recently filed for divorce from husband Jordan Bratman, Contactmusic reported.
"You just understand the person. Our relationship was good on screen and off screen. Of course I've been through all the things that she's going through so you can tell somebody, 'I did this. This is what happened. Don't sweat that. Watch out for that,'" Cher said.
"It was a way of connecting that also made us connect closer on the set," she said about her 28-year-old co-star.
