Brothers Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra are turning out to be quite a force to reckon with at the box office with their film earning Rs 15 crores on its opening day.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the collections:
The opening day collections are higher than Akshay's Gabbar Is Back (11.75 cr) and other hits of 2015 such as Tanu Weds Manu Returns (Rs 8 Cr) and Dil Dhadakne Do (Rs 10.53 cr).
Directed by Karan Malhotra, Brothers is an official remake of the 2011 Hollywood hit Warrior, and revolves around two estranged brothers, played by Akshay and Sidharth. The film also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Jackie Shroff and Shefali Shah in pivotal roles.
