Bryan Adams apologises to his fans
New Delhi: Delhi will miss out on the Bryan Adams concert, the show has been canceled with the Delhi Police saying they never gave permission to the organisers to hold such an event.

"At the moment, there is no rescheduled for Delhi. Rumours of Gurgaon are simply that, I wish it was better new. I'm sorry to all the fans," posted Bryan Adams on his Twitter page.

The police cited security concerns and said the organisers had over sold tickets and that the ground could accommodate only 6000 people.

The organisers of the event - Netsurf Entertainment, have issued a statement which says that they are working towards finalising an alternate venue and date to re-schedule the Bryan Adams concert in New Delhi since public safety is a priority. The unexpected rains coupled with the overwhelming public response for the show has made the venue unsafe.

The statement also says that the details of the new venue, date and time will be available later this evening. In case the customers decide not to attend the rescheduled concert, their ticket purchases will be refunded. The process of ticket exchanges/refunds will also be announced soon.

The singer is still hopeful and tweeted: "I'm in New Delhi, waiting to hear from the police about the concert. As far as I'm concerned the show is on - we're 100% here for the fans."

The 52-year-old star, who has sold nearly 70 million albums and 30 million singles worldwide, was to perform at the NSIC exhibition ground in south-east Delhi's Okhla.

"They have issued VIP and complimentary passes also. There were no traffic plan despite the fact that the show was to be held on a working day," the official said.

The Canadian rock star is performing in several cities across the country.

According to the official website of Adams, the rock star is to perform in Hyderabad on February 16. On Thursday and Friday, he will perform in Dhaka and on Saturday, he will fly to Kathmandu for another concert.
