Kathmandu: Canadian rocker Bryan Adams stole the hearts of music lovers at the Nepali capital with his live concert, giving a fan the rare opportunity to sing with him on stage.
Brinda Singh, 27, got the chance to sing with the 'Summer of 69' hitmaker live amid a cheering crowd at the Dasharath Stadium Saturday evening.
"I'm a banker and I can rock," said Brinda after the 51-year-old singer and guitarist called her on stage to sing 'When You're Gone'.
The Nepali girl was picked by Adams at random from among thousands of fans who had gathered to see him perform.
"I want to show the world what Nepal looks like," Adams said, asking his fans to light up their mobile phones as he captured the scene with his camera.
Some 5,000 security personnel were mobilized to provide security during Kathmandu's first international music concert that attracted around 20,000 people.
Adams left for India today along with his band of 50 musicians. The singer boarded a private plane, said the director of Nepali network Our Day Cinema (ODC) Simanta Gurung, an organizer of the concert in Kathmandu.
