Hollywood stars Sandra Bullock andRyan Reynolds were spotted spending a cosy New Year's Evetogether, fuelling romance rumours further, but the actressinsists they are just 'friends'.
The 46-year-old actress' publicist has said her 'date'with Reynolds was purely platonic - the stars spent theevening among "a group of old friends", reported Contactmusic.
The Proposal co-stars, who both split from theirpartners last year, rang in 2011 together with a number ofpals at Bullock's Bess Bistro restaurant in Texas.
Reynolds, 34, was linked to Bullock shortly after hissplit from his wife Scarlett Johansson last month and the NewYear's Eve celebrations further fuelled rumours of ablossoming romance.
But Bullock's representative has moved quickly to denythe rumours, explaining, "A group of old friends that includedRyan and Sandra spent New Year's together at Sandra'srestaurant Bess Bistro. They all had a great time ringing inthe New Year as they have in the past... as nothing more thanfriends."
Last March Bullock dumped husband Jesse James afterhis infidelities hit the headlines, while Reynolds andJohannson called time on their two-year marriage in December.
