Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper and his wife Laureen will attend the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton in London next month.
The Prime Minister's Office said Wednesday that Harper has formally accepted the invitation to attend the Westminster Abbey ceremony.
Prince William and Kate Middleton are to be married April 29.
Harper calls the wedding a historic, happy moment and says he's delighted to attend.
The newlyweds are scheduled to arrive in Canada on June 30 for a weeklong tour.
They will be in Ottawa for Canada Day and will visit Alberta, the Northwest Territories, Prince Edward Island and Quebec.
