Jackky arrives at the airport in Cannes

If Uday Chopra's proximity to Nicole Kidman at the Cannes Film Festival has left you perplexed, get this - actor Jackky Bhagnani has been invited to the inaugural session of the India Pavilion on May 15.
The actor was last seen in the film Youngistaan, which did not really set cash registers ringing at the box office, but received a measure of praise for its theme and performances. Jackky, the son of producer Vashu Bhagnani, seems to have wangled the invite on the strength of his performance as a young politician.
Jackky's unexpected presence will certainly shore up the numbers in the desi contingent which includes Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Mallika Sherawat and Kamal Haasan, in addition to Uday. Mallika and Kamal Haasan will also attend the inauguration of the India Pavilion.
