Actress Freida Pinto will not be attending the Cannes Film Festival this year due to prior work commitments.
Other Cannes regulars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor are set to walk the red carpet as the face of cosmetic company L'Oreal Paris with Katrina Kaif making her debut.
Freida, 30, made her red carpet debut at Cannes as brand ambassador in 2012.
"Freida is a beautiful person and is truly a 'Woman of Worth'. Our Indian consumers wait to see Freida on the Cannes red carpet. It would have been a pleasure to see her join Aishwarya, Sonam and Katrina at the French Riviera, but unfortunately she will be giving the event a miss this year," said Manashi Guha, General Manager, L'Oreal Paris India. The Cannes International Film Festival is scheduled to be held from May 13 to 24.
Aishwarya, 41, has been a part of the festival's red carpet for the last 14 years while Sonam, 29, will be attending the movie gala for the fifth time.
