Can't take my family to watch Gangs of Wasseypur: Salman Khan

Can't take my family to watch Gangs of Wasseypur: Salman Khan
New Delhi: Anurag Kashyap's Gangs Of Wasseypur received a standing ovation at the Cannes film festival in May this year and it is a film where the director is finally looking to make profits.

The movie has got a thumbs up from the critics and masses alike and it has also united actors from the main stream and parallel cinema.

But our Tiger Salman Khan has no time to watch a film that promises to change the language of Indian cinema.

The actor said in an interview: "I do clean films, straight out. I don't need to use abusive language in my films. I just want to do my kind of cinema. I just want our filmmakers to make movies with our culture and value system. No. I watch films with friends and family. But I can't take my family to watch that film. Even though everybody is grown up and mature in my family. And we all are adults and aware and very chilled out but I don't I think I will want to see that film with them."

The Dabangg Khan, whose next flick Ek Tha Tiger is set to release on Independence Day, says he has been too busy with the film's promotions.

Let's not forget that Salman and Anurag don't exactly see eye to eye, after Anurag's brother Abhinav Kashyap, director of Dabangg, was replaced by Arbaaz Khan as director of Dabangg 2. What's interesting is that one of Anurag Kashyap's character from the film, "Definite," is shown to be a diehard Salman Khan fan. Anurag's attempt at extending an olive branch to Chulbul Pandey after the Dabangg fiasco, perhaps?

But perhaps it's just a leaf out of real life. Salman, after all, has the biggest fan following in the country when it comes to cities other than the metros.

And while Salman Khan has decided to stay away from the film, his ex-girflriend Katrina Kaif's rumoured beau Ranbir Kapoor has become a Nawazuddin fan. Nawazuddin Siddiqui plays Faisal Khan in the film.

RK, who will be working with Anurag in Bombay Velvet was also seen at a special screening of Gangs of Wasseypur 2 along with two beaufiul ladies - Deepika Padukone and Anushka Sharma.

Looks like our man Salman is alone on this one.
