London:
Hollywood actress Carey Mulliganis all set to make a return to theatre with the role of amentally ill woman in a theatrical adaptation of IngmarBergman's 1961 movie Through a Glass Darkly.
The An Education star, who made her Broadway debutwith Anton Chekhov's play 'The Seagull' in 2008, is willing toput her film career on hold for the production, Contactmusicreported.
"It's thrilling. All I literally as a child wanted todo was to be in a Broadway play and live in New York. I'm kindof on cloud nine. I'm more consumed by theatre than I am byfilm," said the 25-year-old actress.
"I never set out really to be a film actress. I loveit and I'm incredibly lucky, but I find it easier to throwmyself into a play than film. I'm always much more self-awareand self-conscious when I'm doing film because cameras reallyfreak me out," Mulligan said.
Meanwhile, the British actress expressed her desire toplay the tragic heroine Juliet in William Shakespeare's Romeo& Juliet on Broadway, before she is too old to play her.
"I've been talking to someone about Romeo & Juliet andI'd never sort of gone after it and tried to make that happen.I've never done Shakespeare, so that really scares me. Butit's exciting. I won't be able to play Juliet in a couple ofyears and if I'm ever gonna do it I should do it now," sheadded.
