London: Actress Cate Blanchett says her son is urging her to take on bigger blockbuster roles after her new Woody Allen movie Blue Jasmine left the youngsterunimpressed.
The 44-year-old Lord Of the Rings star's son is movie industry savvy and has started giving his mother career advice, reported Contactmusic.
"I was telling my 11-year-old the story of Blue Jasmine, about a woman's spectacular downfall on the Upper East Side (in New York), and he put his head in his hand and he says, 'Mum, when are you going to make a blockbuster?'. He goes online and he looks at all the grosses and he looks at all the films I'm in; he's giving me career advice," Blanchett said.
Despite her roles in major Hollywood films like The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Blanchett's son still thinks she needs to take on bigger roles in higher-grossing movies.
