Celebrities back fundraising campaign for Africa
London: Celebrities like David Beckham, Lady Gaga and Rihanna are joining hands to promote a short film, which highlights the famine in East Africa.

Stars are taking to social networking sites to promote I'm Gonna Be Your Friend campaign, which supports Save The Children's appeal to raise funds for the millions of families affected, reported Sun online.

The appeal campaign video uses clips of starving children and adults trying to treat their kids during the humanitarian crisis hitting the Horn of Africa, including countries such as Somalia, Kenya and Ethiopia.

The devastating images have seen set to Bob Marley and The Wailers' 1973 track High Tide or Low Tide, and the promo has been released as a download to raise funds to help Africans.

Directed by Kevin MacDonald, who made The Last King Of Scotland, the charity expects a viewership of 600 million.
