A song from the upcoming Sonam Kapoor-Fawad Khan film Khoobsurat took more than 10 days to obtain a Censor Board clearance.
The track Maa Ka Phone was found to have double meaning lyrics by the examining committee of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The panel refused to clear the song as some members felt one of the lines Teri Maa Ka Phone could be considered as a cuss word.
A source says, "There is a pause between Teri Maa Ka and Phone and that is the reason it was referred to the Revising Committee (RC)."
The source adds, "The track was submitted for clearance to the CBFC 15 days ago, but due to the recent chaos in the Censor Board it took a while for the makers to get the song cleared. It was eventually cleared by the RC which was a day before the song hit the TV screens last week."
Producer Rhea Kapoor was unavailable for comment.
