Mumbai: Bollywood actor Chandrachur Singh,who has been a part of films like Maachis, Josh and KyaKehna in the early 90s, is all set to make his debut on smallscreen as the host on a cookery show.
The 42-year-old actor will be seen hosting TV show RoyalRasoi, a weekly lifestyle, travel and food show, produced byhis brother Aditya Narayan Singh, for FoodFood channel.
Royal Rasoi is a show that explores recipes patronisedby the erstwhile royalty. The show will not only cook up ameal fit for a king, but will also talk about the royalhousehold the recipe comes from, special recipe along with thehistory and anecdotes attached to it.
"It is a great travel-lifestyle-food show. It takes oneto the roots and culture of India. Besides showing therecipes, what is more interesting is that the show will talkabout the cultural diversity, history, music, art andarchitecture," Chandrachur told PTI.
For him, the show is interesting in a way as he got thechance to visit places like Kota and Karauli where hispaternal grandparents belonged to.
"It was an enriching experience for me as it took me backto my roots. I got to explore these places and other newplaces. I cherish all this and also the fact that I got tolearn a lot of things," he said.
The show will go on air this month.
