Charlie Sheen Heading To Haiti For Charity
New York: Troubled actor Charlie Sheen has claimed he is heading to Haiti for charity work with Sean Penn.

The 45-year-old actor, whose CBS show Two And a Half Men was cancelled for this season and who is battling for his children's custody, said he is heading to the island next week.

"I would very much like to show my old friend the world of needs on the ground in Haiti. And I'm excited as hell because, you know, if I can bring the attention of the world down there, then clearly this tsunami keeps cresting," Sheen said.

The 50-year-old actor created the J/P Haitian Relief Organization after an earthquake ravaged Haiti in January 2010, killing an estimated 230,000 people and leaving 1.3 million homeless.

The Oscar-winning actor has increasingly been visiting the struggling country to oversee the work of his organisation.

Penn has been one of the many actors who have reportedly offered support to Sheen during his public struggle with substance abuse.
