Charlie Sheen's Publicist Quits

Charlie Sheen's Publicist Quits
Los Angeles: Actor Charlie Sheen's troubles seem to be increasing with each day. After CBS cancelled his hit show Two and Half Men, his publicist too has ditched the star.

Stan Rosenfield said he is unable to carry on working with his long-term client, following the 45-year-old star's recent scandals including a rehab stint and media rants, reported Us magazine.

"I have worked with Charlie Sheen for a long time and I care about him very much. However, at this time, I'm unable to work effectively as his publicist and have respectfully resigned," he said.

Sheen, 45, told TMZ today that Rosenfield had lied on his behalf when he issued a statement saying the actor had had an allergic reaction and that was why he ransacked an NYC hotel room back in October.

"I was asleep when that statement went out. I respect Stan, he was doing the best he could at the moment. Had I confirmed with him, I probably would have come up with something better."

Two and Half Men was scrapped for the remainder of the current season following his radio rants against creator Chuck Lorre. Sheen is now planning to sue show bosses for USD 320 million.
