London:
Hollywood star Charlize Theron has followed Angelina Jolie and Sandra Bullock by adopting a baby boy.
The 36-year-old actress's first son is African-American and was born in the United States, reported Us magazine.
"She is the proud mom of a healthy baby boy named Jackson," her representative confirmed in a statement.
No other details about Theron's bundle of joy were disclosed, but the boy is the first child for the Oscar winner.
"She has always wanted to be a mom. She is glad to be able to do it on her own now and is so happy to be a mom," a source said.
News of Theron's adoption came a little more than a year after she split from longtime boyfriend Stuart Townsend. The couple broke up in January 2010 after nine years.
