Hollywood beauty Charlize Theron auctioned off a date with herself to raise money for charity and the prize went for a whopping USD 20,000.
The Oscar winning actress hosted a dinner and charity auction benefiting the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project in New York.
When guests began to bid on a pair of court-side tickets to watch the Los Angeles Lakers Basketball team, the 35-year-old offered to attend the game herself with the winner.
The bets got larger and larger, ending up at USD 20,000, reported Daily Mail online.
During the event Theron spent time with her friend Liv Tyler, who came out to show her support.
'The Monster' actress who was dressed in a Versace dress and Stella McCartney jacket for the event, was joined by other A-listers including models Irina Shayk and Petra Nemcova, 'Mad Men' actor Jon Hamm and 'Jackass' star Johnny Knoxville.
The Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project, which was launched in 2007, strives to create safer and healthier lives for children and communities in the actress's native country of South Africa. The charity has a special focus on those who
are affected by HIV and AIDS.
The actress is so dedicated to the charity that she took much of the last year off from acting to focus on the project and its work.
