Charlize Theron has shaved her hair into a short crop. The 36-year-old actress was photographed sporting the new style while carrying son Jackson, six months, in Beverly Hills recently.
Charlize's new look is for her role as Furiosa in Mad Max 4: Fury Road according to her representative.
She and Tom Hardy, 34, were first attached to the film in 2009 but it was postponed after a number of production setbacks.
She said to Us Weekly: "It's been three years: It's time to skin this cat already! I'm very excited about it. The original Mad Max created such a vivid world, so to go back and re-imagine it and re-play in that sandbox sounds like fun to me. It's a really challenging piece of material."
Charlize's latest movies Snow White and the Huntsman and Prometheus earned a combined $73 million in the United States this weekend.
Meanwhile, a Snow White sequel has been commissioned with Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth both set to reprise their roles as the titular characters.
She continued: "With everything from Young Adult to Prometheus, I feel very creatively satisfied, especially going in to Mad Max. I feel very lucky."
