Kerala Chief Minister OommenChandy today visited veteran Malayalam film actor JagathySreekumar at the hospital where he is being treated after hemet with a car accident on March 10.
Chandy, who was en route to Wayanad, spent about 15minutes with the actor and also spoke to the doctors treatingSreekumar, hospital sources said.
They said the actor was showing improvement and if itcontinued, he would be shifted by air ambulance tomorrow toChristian Medical College Hospital, Vellore.
A three-member doctors team from CMC had recentlyassessed the actor's condition and had decided to shift him toVellore. But it was postponed as Sreekumar developed fever andwas kept on ventilator, which has been removed now, they said.
Sreekumar, who has acted in more than 1,000 films, was onhis way to Kodagu in Karnataka for shooting a film when hiscar rammed into a road divider and overturned at nearbyTenhippalam.
He was admitted to the private Malabar Institute ofMedical Sciences hospital, where he has undergone varioussurgeries.
