Chiru's son turns Orange

Hyderabad: Ram Charan Teja hasn't found it tough to step out of his famous father's shadows. His last film, Magadheera, was a Telugu blockbuster, and won two National Film Awards. Teja's new film, Orange, releases on Friday.

His father, Chiranjeevi, hasn't been taking it easy either. The actor turned politician will return to acting in his 150th film with Teja as producer. The film starts shooting in February. "I personally think they see his political avatar everyday on TV. So why not something else. I want to take them out of that and show a different experience,'' says Teja.

But for now, he's got his own celluloid career to focus on. Magadheera, was a fantasy that explored the world of royalty. Orange, on the other hand, ``is an urban love story, completely different from Magadheera. I enjoyed it a lot. It has a certain message for the youth.''

90 per cent of Orange was shot in Australia at a time when racist attacks against Indians were in the headlines virtually everyday. Ram Charan believes that's partly why the Australian government went out of its way to help in the filming of Orange.
