R&B star Chris Brown has gotthe battered face of a woman inked on his neck, sparkingcomparisons with that of his ex-girlfriend Rihanna after heassaulted her in 2009.
In Las Vegas on Monday, the Don't Wake Me Up singer,23, debuted a brand-new, still red tattoo on his neck.
The image appears to be of a glamorous but battered womanwith a black eye, scratches and bruises on her face.
Comparisons were quickly drawn with Rihanna after itechoed her face structure, arched eyebrows and plump lipsafter the 2009 attack.
But Brown's spokesperson has denied that the tattoo hasgot anything to do with Rihanna, insisting it is inspired by aMexican holiday called Dia de los Muertos, otherwise known asDay of the Dead, reported TMZ.
"His tattoo is a sugar skull (associated with the Mexicancelebration of the Day of the Dead) and a MAC cosmetics designhe saw. It is not Rihanna or an abused woman as erroneouslyreported," said the spokesperson.
According to the tattoo artist, Brown picked out thedesign himself and took it to the parlour having seen it on anadvert for the cosmetics brand.
Still connected over three years after Brown's shockingattack, the former couple caused a huge stir at lastThursday's MTV Video Music Awards when Brown congratulatedRihanna, 24, on her Video of the Year award with a kiss and anaffectionate hug.
