London:
Coldplay frontman Chris Martin revealed that his new collaboration with Gwyneth Paltrow was inspired by the end of a relationship, reported Female First.
The singer's ex-wife features in the band's new track Everglow and Chris has hinted that their split could have inspired it.
"I was in the ocean one day with this surfer guy. He was like, 'Yo dude, I was doing this thing the other day, man. It gave me this total everglow!' I was like, 'What an amazing word'," he said. (Also Read: Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Martin to Split 200 Million Pound Fortune)
"Then the song came completely out. To me, it's about - whether it's a loved one or a situation or a friend or a relationship that's finished, or someone's passed away - I was really thinking about, after you've been through the sadness of something, you also get this everglow. That's what it's about," Chris, 38, said.
The singer previously said Gwyneth, 43, even wrote some of the lyrics. "How come things move on? How come cars don't slow?"
He then asked her to record the vocals and he explained, "She came up with the idea so I said, 'Is there any chance you'd sing that line because it's your idea?' Like any human, she was like, 'I can't do that! I'm not a professional'. Everglow started from the idea that when something crazy happens to you, it's strange how the world keeps rolling. I like the idea that at the end of most things there's something good to be found from it," he said
