Los Angeles:
Actor Christian Bale said he meant no disrespect with his "stop whining" comment about George Clooney.
The Exodus star made headlines with his interview withWall Street Journal magazine, when he said people should stop whining and get on with life when reminded of Mr Clooney's fight against paparazzi intrusion in his life.
"I was scratching my head when I heard that. I said, 'When on earth would I have said that?' I've got immense respect for him and I can't even begin to imagine the invasion of his privacy. Our lives don't even begin to compare. He's a true movie star. I'm just somebody who was lucky to get a job," Christian told E! News.
"So, yeah, it was possibly just a well-intentioned edit. But certainly, I never meant any disrespect whatsoever," he added.
