Christina Aguilera Embroiled In Song Lawsuit
Los Angeles: Less than a week after being arrested for public intoxication, pop star Christina Aguilera has been dragged into a lawsuit over allegations that her  record label bosses sampled a song in her track Ain'T No Other Man without paying the rightful owner.

The 30-year-old singer's hit single reportedly uses a beat from Dave Cortez and the Moon People's 1968 soul song Hippy Skippy Moon Strut.

Legal papers filed by TufAmerica in New York claim that Sony Music paid the wrong distributer for rights of the song.

TufAmerica reportedly bought the exclusive rights to the original song in 2004, which Sony arranged to sample through deals with Condigo Mysic and the Clyde Otis Music Group.

TufAmerica is seeking to nullify other publishers claims to the rights, as well as punitive damages.

The lawsuit comes at the tail end of a rough year for Aguilera, which began with the poor sales of her album Bionic and continued with a cancelled US tour, a flop in her big-screen debut Burlesque and a divorce from husband Jordan Bratman.

Aguilera's woes got worse in 2011, with an infamous flub of the National Anthem during the Super Bowl pre-game show, and an arrest on March 1 for public intoxication.
