Actress Christina Hendricks, whosefamily hails from Birmingham, says she has developed a passionfor Indian food when she lived in Britain in the late 1990swhile working as a model.

"One of my favourite meals is Indian food. I had neverreally been exposed to Indian food my whole life, because Igrew up in small towns that didn't really have that.
"Then I moved to London and I was blown away because theyhad this incredible Indian food. And it's hard to find reallygood Indian in Los Angeles," she said.
The humble British curry house is fast becoming aHollywood hangout: Tom Cruise recently surprised staff at anIndian restaurant in St Alban's by dropping by for a chickentikka masala, reported Daily Telegraph.
"I hear it's not necessarily a relaxing weekend getaway.(But) oh, I love a curry. I would take a pilgrimage just forthat," she said.
She has family ties with Birmingham, her father Richard wasborn and raised in the city but she has never visited the city so far.
