Christopher Nolan has begunshooting his upcoming film Interstellar in Alberta, Canada,according to an announcement by Warner Bros.
Directed and co-written by Nolan, the production willtravel the globe and utilize a mixture of 35mm anamorphic andIMAX film photography. The film, based on a combination of anoriginal idea by Nolan and an existing script by JonathanNolan, is slated to release on November 7, 2014.
Paramount Pictures will distribute domestically, WarnerBros Pictures internationally.
The film chronicles the adventures of a group of explorerswho make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass thelimitations on human space travel and conquer the vastdistances involved in an interstellar voyage.
Interstellar stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway,Jessica Chastain, Bill Irwin, John Lithgow, Casey Affleck,David Gyasi, Wes Bentley, Mackenzie Foy, Timothee Chalamet,Topher Grace, David Oyelowo, Ellen Burstyn and Michael Caine.
