London:
Supermodel Claudia Schiffer has decided not to return to the runway ever again as she is too shy a person and prefers working within small groups of people.
The 40-year-old German beauty, who was a catwalk stunner in the nineties, said there is nothing which can persuade her to walk the ramp again, reported Vogue magazine.
"Nobody believes me but I'm very shy - much better in small groups of people than on a stage with everybody looking at me. I understood that I had to do it when I was modeling but now, since I don't have to do it, I'd rather not," Schiffer said at the launch of her debut cashmere collection in Paris.
"Designers are very clever at trying to persuade me to do it each season and it's flattering that they do, but nothing would change my mind. I'd much rather be working on this new project anyway."
In Paris this season to launch her collection, Schiffer will be missing the Chanel show on Tuesday morning at which she is usually a regular in the front row.
"I'm really sorry to miss it, I always love to go - but I'm going to be too busy with the collection this week. I want to meet all the press and buyers personally - it's that kind of project," she said.
