The actor - who stars in the remake of Total Recall - has no plans to lavish his two boys with expensive gifts as they grow up.
He told The Sun newspaper: "One of my sons loves footballs, tennis balls - anything round - and the other is mad on trains."
The 36-year-old star is father to James Padraig, eight, who he has with American model Kim Bordenave, and Henry Tadeusz, 22 months, mothered by Alicja Bachleda-Curuś.
However the siblings are content with getting to enjoy kids' entertainment and desert.
He continued: "Toys keep them happy and I give them ice-cream - that's about as extravagant as it gets."
The screen star - who has battled with drink and drug abuse in the past - admits he has memory loss for certain parts of his past but insists he's not bothered about it.
He said: "There are a few black holes, where minutes and hours and days and weeks and possibly months have vanished. But whatever's disappeared I'm fine with, I obviously don't need it. As for things I'd like to forget? I don't think there's any."
