Gurgaon: Model-turned-actress Malaika AroraKhan says that production on the sequel of 2010 film Dabanggis in full swing and the team can hardly wait for its release.
The upcoming film will mark the directorial debut of the39-year-old's actor husband Arbaaz Khan, who produced thefirst film. The film will again see Salman Khan reprise hiscop act as Chulbul Pandey.
"We are all very excited about the release of the film.The preparations are on in full swing. We are eagerly awaitingthe release of the film on December 21," said Malaika.
The actress's item number Munni Badnaam Hui inDabangg was a chartbuster. When asked if she will be seeingdoing anything similar in the sequel, she said, "Well you willhave to wait and see when the film releases. I cannot discloseanything at the moment."
Actress Kareena Kapoor has been roped in to do an itemnumber in the film. The main cast of the film - SonakshiSinha and Vinod Khanna - have been retained, except Sonu Sood.The new addition to the cast is southern star Prakash Raj, whoplays the role of the main antagonist.
Malaika walked the ramp for designer Vikram Phadnis atthe Blenders Pride Fashion Tour here last night, where thelatter showcased his bridal collection Nazakat.
She epitomised grace while walking the ramp in a gota andzardosi golden lehenga-choli and pink net dupatta.
The collection was a blend of Indian and westerninfluences. The silhouettes varied from skirts, kalidaarsteamed with bundis and structured jackets and capes. Thedupattas had lavish gota work and the stoles for the men wereadorned with elaborate tassels.
An intense flamboyant colour pallet of royal blue, beige,grey combined with red, coral and lime green was used in thecollection.
Designer Wendell Rodricks also showcased his festivecollection titled 'Splash'.
Against the backdrop of black and gold, models sashayedin colours like chilli red, bright yellow, hot pink and neonorange. The garments slipped effortlessly from beach to redcarpet, lounge to premium luxury.
