New Delhi:
Salman Khan's Race 3 has made more additions to the cast line-up. Daisy Shah and Saqib Saleem have signed the dotted line for the Ramesh Taurani-produced film, reported Pinkvilla. Daisy Shah and Salman are co-stars of 2014 movie Jai Ho while Saqib Saleem is best known for starring in Mere Dad Ki Maruti. Race 3, which has reportedly begun shooting already, also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and expectedly Bobby Deol. "Apart from Salman Khan, Bobby Deol and Jacqueline Fernandez now Daisy Shah and Saqib Saleem are officially part of Race 3 now. Daisy is the second female lead in the film," Pinkvilla quoted producer Ramesh Taurani as saying.
The report adds that actors like Aditya Roy Kapur, Sooraj Pancholi and Sidharth Malhotra were being considered for an empty slot on the Race 3 cast -which now seems to have been given to Saqib Saleem. "Saqib's role will also have negative shades to it like the rest of the cast," a source close to the production team told Pinkvilla. Daisy Shah will reportedly be paired opposite Bobby Deol.
Jacqueline has been part of the second entry to the Race franchise which hit screens in 2013. Previously directed by director duo Abbas-Mustan, the reigns for the new Race movie have made way for director-choreographer Remo D'Souza.
Salman Khan, whose first stint in the Race franchise it is, has reportedly asked for certain changes in the script. A report in DNA stated that Salman asked the makers to infuse more humour to the script and to dial down the intimate scenes.
Salman Khan has replaced Saif Ali Khan as the Race franchise headliner, who, however, has no qualms about the new cast: "Who better than Salman Khan for this? I wish both of them luck," he told PTI.
Salman Khan is currently looking forward to the release of Ek Tha Tiger, his next with Katrina Kaif.
