London:
Actor Daniel Craig says he doesn't want to be as 'sexist and misogynistic' as the character James Bond he has been portraying since 2005. (Also Read: SPECTRE Trailer: A Disappearing 007 and Two New Bond Girls)
In an interview to Esquire magazine, Mr Craig is quoted as saying, "Hopefully, my Bond is not as sexist and misogynistic as [earlier incarnations]. The world has changed. I am certainly not that person. But he is, and so what does that mean? It means you cast great actresses and make the parts as good as you can for the women in the movies."
The actor, 47, who is married to actress Rachel Weisz, also added that he could not be a womaniser at his age.
"There's a great sadness. He's got these beautiful women but then they leave. It's sad. And as a man gets older, it's not a good look. It might be a nice fantasy, that's debatable," he said.
Daniel Craig has featured in a series of 007 films such as Casino Royale, Skyfall and Quantum of Solace. His new Bond film, SPECTRE, is scheduled for release in November.
