Darren Aronofsky To Direct Noah
London: Hollywood filmmaker DarrenAronofsky is reportedly set to direct a re-telling of theBiblical story of Noah's Ark.

The 42-year-old whose psychological thriller BlackSwan received many accolades, is keen to work on a fantasyepic version of the Noah's Ark as his next movie, reportedContactmusic.

Entitled Noah, the upcoming project has been writtenby Aronofsky and is currently undergoing a review by JohnLogan. The critically acclaimed director wants the film to behis next project after dropping out of Wolverine.

According to reports, New Regency wants a co-financingrole in the film, for which Aronofsky wants a budget of USD130 million and Paramount, Fox and Summit are said to beinterested.

Described as a "fantasy epic", the original storytells of a God who floods the world, but tasks Noah withcollecting two of every animal and building a boat in which tohouse them to save the future of the planet.

Aronofsky was earlier in news for his plans to directHuman Nature, a film which is about man who is cryogenicallyfrozen and wakes up in the future to find humans are now petsof alien species. However further details of the film isundisclosed.
