Deepika, Anushka, Bipasha and the Big Box Office Bang Theory

Deepika’s Finding Fanny, Anushka’s NH10 and Bipasha’s Creatures 3D will release on September 12
New Delhi: Bollywood's love-hate-equations keep changing very quickly - so quickly that actors themselves are hard-pressed to keep track of their current friend list sometimes. But the one thing all actors wish to avoid is a clash at the box office. Figuring out that two films releasing at the same time will lead to shrinking profits unless it's festivals season is not rocket science. In fact, the Khans have already divided the three major festivals between them and they take care not to encroach on each other's dates - Eid will usually bring with it a Salman film, Diwali an SRK movie and Christmas will see Aamir. Bollywood's leading ladies, however, don't seem to have worked out the math yet and seem to be okay with their releases clashing at the theatres. The latest 'cat-fight' coming up is between Deepika Padukone's Finding Fanny and Anushka Sharma's first home production NH10 which are scheduled to be released on September 12.

This may turn out to be a bigger bang at the box office than expected because Anushka has been anything but friendly to Deepika, a fact that was pointed out to The Dimpled One by Karan Johar on the last season of Koffee With Karan and seemed to startle Deepika.

Adding to the big fight marquee is Bipasha Basu's Hollywood flick Creatures 3D which may also release on the same date in India. All three films belong to very distinct genres and are in three different languages - Finding Fanny is in Konkani and Creatures 3D is in English, though dubbed versions of both may hit screens too - this means a three way fight between three actresses, each of whom have dedicated fans.
