Irrfan Khan and Deepika Padukone's endearing chemistry in Piku took romance to a different level, says the film's director Shoojit Sircar.
"During the scripting stage, Irrfan and Deepika's romance was kept dry and subdued, but both the actors took the romance to another level," Shoojit Sircar said during an interaction with film enthusiasts at a workshop held here.
When Shoojit Sircar announced the lead cast of the film, the pairing of Irrfan and Deepika seemed unusual. But the film's success silenced everyone.
