Deepika's Bajirao Mastani and SRK's Dilwale may clash at the box office in December.
Mumbai:
Actress Deepika Padukone, who made her Bollywood debut opposite superstar Shah Rukh Khan in Om Shanti Om, said that nothing can ever change her equation with the superstar.
Deepika had recently posted the first look of her upcoming film Bajirao Mastani on Instagram, which will clash at the box office with Shah Rukh Khan's Dilwale this year, with hashtag #ChallengeAccepted.
The Piku star later edited the picture and removed the #challengeaccepted, but it seems the damage was already done. King Khan was reportedly not happy with her Chennai Express co-star's attitude.
When asked about it, Deepika said, "It's amazing that some connection is found to a completely different film and it is blown out of proportion. I don't think any of these articles will ever come in the way of my equation with Shah Rukh."
The actress said it was ironic that when people were reading about the reported 'miff', Shah Rukh was sending her messages congratulating her on opening her foundation in the field of mental health.
"What he and I share is known to us and it is very special. Ironically, when you all were reading this article, he was messaging and congratulating me about my foundation. He was one of the first people I spoke to while I was thinking about it. He has always been encouraging and supportive," she said.
Rohit Shetty's Dilwale and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus Bajirao Mastani are slated for release on December 18 this year.
"I am just an actor. I am neither the producer nor director to say anything. I have no business sense and I have no idea whether it is good or bad for the film," the 29-year-old actress said about the box office clash.
