Sanjay Leela Bhansali apparently missed Aishwarya Rai Bachchan so much that he kept calling Deepika Padukone 'Ash' while shooting with her
Mumbai:
Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Aishwarya Rai have an equation of their own, thanks to their past professional association. This is what Deepika Padukone learned first hand as the director kept confusing her name with Aishwarya's!
Our source from the sets of the film says, "It is an open fact that Mr Bhansali is very close to Aishwarya as they have done three films together. It's quite natural that he would miss her.
But it became evident more so when during the shooting, he would often end up calling Deepika, Ash! There have been so many occasions that after a shot Bhansali would say 'Nice shot Ash' or 'Ash, let's do the next scene like this' while talking to Deepika."
It would be his assistant directors who would nudge him and correct his error.
What's amusing here is Deepika taking no offence, whatsoever. "After a point even Deepika understood and was cool with it," concludes the source.
