Deepika Padukone and Hema Malini at the launch of Beyond The Dream Girl
New Delhi:
Veteran actress Hema Malini's biography, titled Beyond The Dream Girl, was launched by Deepika Padukone in Mumbai last month. At the event, the 69-year-old actress called Deepika the 'Dream Girl of today's age' and praised her acting skills. Deepika Padukone also received a special gift from Hema Malini for launching the biography, where the latter mentions about passing on the baton to her. Deepika shared the picture with a namastey emoticon. It is a handwritten note from Hema Malini, which reads, "Dear Deepika, The contents of the book that you so graciously launched take on an added meaning as I hand over the baton to you for a glorious continuation of artistic excellence. Love, Hema Malini." Here's what Deepika Padukone shared.
"Deepika is a really talented and hardworking actress but she is also fortunate to work with a director like Sanjay Leela Bhansali who has a grand budget to make a grand film like Padmavati and Bajirao Mastani," news agency IANS quoted Hema Malini as saying.
Both the actresses looked stunning at the launch. Deepika wore a stunning red Banarasi sari by Sabyasachi while Hema Malini opted for a blue crochet sari.
