Actress Deepika Padukone will beseen opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Rohit Shetty's ChennaiExpress.
"Deepika is part of Chennai Express. She has beenfinalised," sources close to the project told PTI.
It was opposite SRK in Om Shanti Om that themodel-turned actress made her debut in Bollywood.
Lot of names like Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif andPriyanka Chopra were doing rounds for the leading lady ofthis film, which goes on floor in the end of Septemberand would release around mid-next year.
Chennai Express tells the story of a man (SRK)who travels from Mumbai to Rameshwaram and what happens duringthe journey forms the movie.
Interestingly, this is for the first time that Rohitwould be working without his close friend Ajay Devgn, withwhom he has done eight films.
