New Delhi:
Actress Deepika Padukone, who will soon be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Bajirao Mastani, said that she will miss Shah Rukh Khan on the day of the film's release.
Deepika made her debut in 2007 with Shah Rukh's Om Shanti Om.
Bajirao Mastani and Shah Rukh's Dilwale will release together on December 18.
"I am definitely going to miss Shah Rukh on that day. Eight years ago, it was a very special day when I started my journey and career. So, the feeling is there that I will miss him as he is a part of some other movie. But having said that, we both are doing very different films. As an audience, it is very exciting that we will get to see two such different movies," Deepika told PTI.
Bajirao Mastani casts Ranveer Singh as Maratha leader Peshwa Bajirao I, Deepika as his warrior queen Mastani and Priyanka Chopra as his first wife Kashibai. The film evoked controversy after the descendants of Bajirao and Mastani objected to some songs and alleged distortion of facts.(Also Read: Priyanka Chopra on the Shiv Sena-Bajirao Mastani Controversy)
Deepika feels that the producers and the director are the "right" people to comment on the issue.
"From the audiences' point of view, I accept films the way they are. When I go to the theatre as an audience, I don't challenge anything or question anything. I will watch the movie and then base my opinion on that," said Deepika.
