Realising the importance ofmarketing and staying connected with audiences in present dayBollywood, veteran filmstar Dharmendra and his actor-sonsSunny and Bobby Deol have decided to go digital to reach outto their fans across the globe.
The Deols will have a website, their own YouTubechannel and a Facebook page. They today launched their websiteand will soon have their YouTube channel and Facebook page.
Sunny said he, his father and brother will connectwith viewers on a regular basis and update them on what theyare doing.
"You can be online even if you are shooting. The bestpart about technology is that one could be on the moon and yetstay connected," he stated.
"We decided on this together. It's about moving withthe times and making the best use of technology. What betterway to stay connected with millions of people who love you?"
The Deols have often given power-packed performancesin their films, but during Yamla Pagla Deewana (featuringthe three), they also went all out to promote the movie.
Dharmendra said, "The website will give us a chance toconnect with fans worldwide without a mediator. Though I amnot very tech-savvy, I am quite excited about the developmentof the site and happy with what Sunny has shown me so far."
According to him, "all these years, we have preferredto remain low-profile. For us old-timers, the beauty was inbeing covered up but, it is all in-your face today. We keptour personal lives private but now showbiz is all about show,rather all about showing off!."
