London:
Fashion designer Marc Jacobs has stripped naked for the promotional campaign of his latest fragrance Bang.
The American designer, who is openly gay, said that his partner persuaded him to do the shoot which sees him lying naked on a bed of silver foil, reported Daily Mail online.
"Once I agreed to be the model, I couldn't see what I would wear to express the spirit of the fragrance. We tried it with clothes, but it didn't work," said the designer who is a favourite of Hollywood clientele including Madonna and Scarlett Johannson.
"My immediate reaction was, I don't know. But then I came to see that it made sense. Men's fragrance, unlike women's in a certain way, is very personal. It's a layer on top of skin, for women, it can be like changing a makeup colour, but not for men," he said explaining his decision to go naked.
