London:
Slumdog Millionaire star Dev Patel has admitted he is a "scaredy-cat" who is afraid of creepy crawlies and even cries in public.
The 20-year-old actor said he has many phobias and can't even be in the same room as a spider, reported Contactmusic.
"I'm not superstitious but I am a scaredy-cat in general. The last time I was frightened was when I saw a massive spider in the bathroom. I had to run out in my towel and scream for my dad," said Patel.
The actor, who is dating actress Frieda Pinto, is also a very emotional person and is never afraid to let people see him cry, even weeping while watching a movie in public.
"I cry a lot but the last time was watching Brothers, starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Tobey Maguire. I was on a plane with so many people walking around, but I couldn't help shedding a tear," said Patel.
The Last Airbender star insisted he is a patient person, but hates selfishness.
"Nothing makes me physically angry but what does tick me off a little is people being selfish. I don't like that," he added.
