Dhadak has turned out to be the heartbeat of the box office. Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter's film is putting up a really impressive performance at the box office. Dhadak is "steady" with its ticket sales and has raked in a collection of Rs 48 crores in six days, reported trade analyst Taran Adarsh. As per his predictions, Dhadak is expected to close its first week at Rs 51 crores. In a tweet on Thursday, this is what Mr Adarsh mentioned: "Dhadak is steady on Wed... Week 1 total is looking at Rs 51.50 cr [/-], which is huge for a film starring newcomers... Fri 8.71 cr, Sat 11.04 cr, Sun 13.92 cr, Mon 5.52 cr, Tue 4.76 cr, Wed 4.06 cr. Total: Rs 48.01 cr. Dhadak marks Janhvi Kapoor's debut film and recorded a score of Rs 8.71 crores on opening day. In doing so, Dhadak surpassed the first day collections of another Dharma movie - Student Of The Year (which launched Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan in Bollywood). Dhadak is now said to be Bollywood's highest grosser with newcomers.
Meanwhile, Dhadak, which also released overseas, is performing at international markets:
Dhadak is the Hindi remake of Marathi blockbuster Sairat and opened to mixed reviews last Friday. Bollywood showered it's blessings on the Janhvi and Ishaan soon after the film released. Dhadak also made Sridevi's colleagues quite a bit emotional as her elder daughter Janhvi stepped into Bollywood with the film. Earlier, Janhvi Kapoor had said Dhadak is her tribute to Sridevi, who died in February this year.
