New Delhi:
Tamil star Dhanush is all set to star in his first international project, to be helmed by Iranian-French filmmaker Marjane Satrapi, opposite actresses Uma Thurman and Alexandra Daddario (recently seen in San Andreas), says a report in Times of India .
Dhanush, 32, will reportedly play the role of a conjurer in the film, titled The Extraordinary Journey Of The Fakir Who Got Trapped In An Ikea Cupboard.
When asked why she chose the Raanjhanaa actor for the part, the Persepolis director told Times of India: "As I was watching various Indian movies, Dhanush became the most obvious choice - his intelligence, his killer smile, his ability to enter fully into the skin of any character he played (and I can go on and on forever) made me confident that he was the one."
Dhanush, who co-starred with Amitabh Bachchan in last year's Shamitabh, won his first National Award in 2010 for his role in the film Aadukalam. His second National Award was as producer for Kaaka Muttai in 2014. (Also Read: Dhanush Would 'Really Love' to Work in a Sports-Based Film)
