The veteran actor ran into the cricketer on a flight and the two posed for a picture. Dharmendra posted the moment along with a lovely note about the cricketer. He said that Sachin Tendulkar has always met him with the warmth and affection of a son. Dharmendra went on to wish Sachin Tendulkar the very best.
Sharing the photo, Dharmendra wrote, “Desh ke gauravshaali Sachin se aaj achanak hawai jahaz mein mulaqat ho gai. Sachin jab jab mila mujhe hamesha mera pyaara beta ban ke mila… Jeete raho. Love you Sachin. (Today, I suddenly ran into the pride of the nation, Sachi Tendulkar. Whenever I meet Sachin, he has always approached me like a beloved son… God bless you.)"

Sachin Tendulkar too shared the same picture on Instagram and wrote, “Aaj sabse bade “Veeru”, Dharmendra Ji ke saath mulaqaat hui. ‘Veeru'on ki baat hi alag hai. Sabhi unke fan hai. ( Met the biggest Veeru today. There is an aura about Veeru(s). Everyone is their fan.” Veeru is one of the monikers given to Dharmendra, after the name of his character in Sholay.
Sachin Tendulkar further wrote, “Kya kehta hai, Viru,” tagging his former teammate Virender Sehwag, who is also called Viru fondly.
Meanwhile, Dharmendra is extremely active on social media and often shares pictures and videos about his work and family. Recently, Dharmendra, who is shooting for Karan Johar's Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, shared a picture with the choreographer of the film, Farah Khan. In the caption, he wrote, “With loving Farah Khan, our loving choreographer while shooting in Delhi.”
