Did Imogen Heap record a song for Ra.One?

Did Imogen Heap record a song for Ra.One?
New Delhi: Most of us, whether we admit it or not, have heard Akon trill Chhammak Chhallo, the item number from Ra.One. The American singer, who recently performed in India, has sung the track partially in Hindi, for which he underwent a rigorous training process.

Shah Rukh Khan, who stars in and has produced the film, has now roped in Grammy-award winning British singer, Imogen Heap.

Imogen, of course, has recorded heaps of songs for Hollywood movies before (pun intended). Her tracks have featured in big-budget productions like The Chronicles of Narnia, where she replaced fellow British singer Dido.

On the 27th of July, Imogen took to Twitter to deliver this piece of news:

"Am off to India on Saturday. If film peeps like song, need to finish in time to catch plane for yet another crazy song writing exploration!"

Imogen got a heady Indian spin, as her next few tweets suggest:

"Then @vijay_nair took us to see 'Singham' b4 heading to the Ra-One wrap up party where we met lovely peeps, including the charming @IAMSRK".

"What an amazing evening! I'm all buzzy, hope i can sleep. Love this country. Can't wait to come back and tour India xx"

"Nearly on plane to back to Mumbai from our Palace Studio. Had such a crazy intense, wonderful, time with @V1sh4l + friends for our song!"

"Thank you! Was a pleasure to meet you @anubhavsinha. Best of luck with Ra-one! Hope am in town for the London premiere. I want to see it x"

While none of the tweets explicitly state she recorded a song for Ra.One, Heap did reveal that she recorded with composer duo Vishal-Shekhar for a track, which she might or might not have sung in Hindi.

"Loving the intense Mumbai rain! Set up mobile studio in hotel room, sung in some vocal ideas, went to dinner w/ @V1SH4L and friends".

"Getting carried away in little hotel room studio. Should be asleep! So excited to get going on this song with @V1sh4l Heap sings Hindi? <3".

Known primarily as the lead singer of the electronica-soul duo Frou Frou, Imogen Heap has won multiple Grammies for her albums. Her last album, Ellipse, was a smash hit in the United States and United Kingdom.

If these reports turn out to be true, then Ra.One will have added unmatchable flavour to its already sparkling production. Covering the younger demographic by roping in Akon and also the slightly older generation, who grew up with the song style of Imogen Heap and other, new age, British soul singers, the hype will only escalate forthwith.

Looks like the King Khan has learned that value addition can never hurt, which is why he doesn't mind adding to the already (reported) Rs. 200 crore budget of Ra.One.
